These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the MoveHelper website and service (“MoveHelper”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By using MoveHelper, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.
1. What MoveHelper does
MoveHelper helps you notify selected organisations of a change of address when you move home. Depending on the organisation, this may involve: Submitting change-of-address notifications on your behalf, or Providing guidance or templates to help you complete the update yourself.
Once a notification has been submitted, the responsibility for updating your address rests with the relevant organisation. MoveHelper cannot guarantee that every organisation will accept, process, or complete an address update, or that updates will be applied immediately.
2. Who can use MoveHelper
To use MoveHelper, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old,
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Have the authority to request address changes for yourself
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you submit is correct.
3. Your responsibilities
When using MoveHelper, you agree that:
- The information you provide is accurate and up to date
- You will review any confirmations or guidance provided
- You understand that some organisations may: Take time to process updates, Require additional verification, Ask you to take further action directly.
MoveHelper is not responsible for issues caused by incorrect or incomplete information.
4. Third-party organisations and address updates
MoveHelper interacts with third-party organisations on your behalf where possible. You acknowledge that:
- Each organisation controls its own systems and processes
- Acceptance and processing of address updates is at their discretion
- MoveHelper is not responsible for any failure, delay, or refusal by an organisation to update your address, including where additional information, verification, or action is required from you.
- Confirmation that a notification has been sent does not guarantee that an organisation has updated your address.
5. What we are not responsible for
To the extent permitted by law, MoveHelper is not responsible for:
- Address updates not completed by third-party organisations
- Delays outside our controlErrors caused by third-party systems
- Losses resulting from incorrect information provided by you
- We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
6. Fees
MoveHelper may be offered as:
- A free service, or
- A paid service for certain features
Any fees will be clearly displayed before you are asked to pay.
7. Data and privacyWe process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains:
- What data we collect
- How it is used
- How it is protected
By using MoveHelper, you agree to this processing.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep MoveHelper available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:
- Modify or improve the service
- Add or remove features
- Suspend or withdraw parts of the service
Where possible, we will do this without disrupting users mid-journey.
9. Intellectual property
All content on MoveHelper, including text, design, and branding, belongs to us or our licensors.You may not copy or reuse it without permission.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of MoveHelper means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
